Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Yalla Cozy platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Yalla Cozy reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
2. Definitions
- "Platform" refers to the Yalla Cozy website and mobile application.
- "Host" refers to a user who lists a property, experience, or service on Yalla Cozy.
- "Guest" refers to a user who books or uses a listing on Yalla Cozy.
- "Listing" refers to any property, experience, or service advertised on the Platform.
- "Booking" refers to a confirmed reservation made through the Platform.
3. Account Registration
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Yalla Cozy may require identity verification, including National ID submission, for certain features.
4. Host Responsibilities
Hosts agree to:
- Provide accurate descriptions and photos of their listings
- Maintain the listed property in the condition described
- Comply with all local Egyptian housing and tourism regulations
- Respond to booking requests within 24 hours
- Honor confirmed bookings unless exceptional circumstances arise
- Obtain all necessary permits and licenses required by Egyptian law
5. Guest Responsibilities
Guests agree to:
- Treat Host properties with respect and care
- Adhere to house rules specified by the Host
- Report any damage or issues promptly
- Not exceed the maximum guest count specified in the listing
- Complete payment as agreed at the time of booking
6. Payments & Fees
All payments are processed through Paymob in Egyptian Pounds (EGP). Yalla Cozy charges a service fee to Guests (5% of the booking subtotal) and a commission to Hosts (3% of the payout amount). Hosts receive payouts within 24 hours after the Guest's check-in date, subject to the escrow holding period.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation policies are set by individual Hosts and displayed on each listing. Available policies include Flexible, Moderate, and Strict. Refunds are processed according to the applicable cancellation policy. See our Cancellation Policy for details.
8. Disputes
In the event of a dispute between a Host and Guest, Yalla Cozy will attempt to mediate. Our support team will review evidence from both parties. Yalla Cozy's decision on disputes is final and binding on both parties.
9. Prohibited Activities
Users may not:
- Use the Platform for any illegal purposes
- Post misleading or fraudulent listings
- Circumvent the Platform's payment system
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users
- Use automated tools to scrape or access the Platform
10. Limitation of Liability
Yalla Cozy acts as an intermediary platform connecting Hosts and Guests. We are not responsible for the condition of listed properties, the actions of users, or any damages arising from the use of listings booked through the Platform.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cairo, Egypt.
